Tis the season
December 14, 2019
At this time of year, many people reflect upon their blessings. Today, I watched my son graduate from the University of CA at Davis. As if he received some special dispensation, this morning the rainy weather ceased and the sun appeared. We were able to participate in the event without the gloomy stormy weather that plagued northern California all week.
I credit UC Davis with running a tight ship. They had the graduation ceremony completed, pictures taken, and documents handed out in about 90 minutes.
I am also thankful for my progress on my manuscript. Though admittedly I have not accomplished as much as I would have liked in the past two weeks, I have completed six chapters of my revision. Already, I am considering changing the title. I usually change titles at least once during revisions. Sometimes I go back to the original titles. I'm not sure this time. For some reason, I don't feel that Family, Monsters and Zaubers will resonate with readers.
I am currently reading They All Fall Down, by Rachel H. Hall. I have three days before I have to return it to the library. Time to return to my reading.
Remember to count your blessings, even in the small things.
Good bye friends. I wish you all good writing.
